My desktop with Windows 8 suddenly stopped connecting wirelessly, now it says I need an Ethernet cable to access Internet? I've never needed one before. My phone connects fine so it has to be the computer. I'm also trying to install a printer wirelessly but that won't work either. Help?

Firstly, have you accidentally switched off your wifi? There may be a button on the front/side/top of your laptop that can turn it on or off. Also you have the Fn keys at the top. Look for a wifi symbol. Hold Fn on your keyboard and press the key (usually on 1-0 or F1- F10) that has a wifi symbol on it.
