PC takes 30W when turned off.

Hi, I just bought a Wattmeter and i found out, that my PC eats about 30W when turned off (monitors, USB devices unplugged)
Any idea what could be the cause?

The motherboard is still powered on so you can charge device using the USB ports.

aha and any idea if I can completelly turn that off? 30W is quite a lot

If you don't want to unplug it, see if there's an I/O switch on the back of the PSU, and/or use a power strip with an off switch.

Turn the socket off
May also have an option in the BIOS to disable this

SO I checked my bios, EuP 2013 is "ENABLED" and so pc shouldnt take more than 1W when turned off...so I think there is some problem with some component(s)

Also is this windows 8 and are you sure your shutting down your PC not putting it into sleep mode

What motherboard? BIOS controls vary depending on mobo make etc. Sounds like the UEFI or BIOS choice to provide power to the USB's for charging is still enabled in BIOS; CCampy indicated this might be the problem.

Nope, motherboard aint the problem, Ijust took the whole thing apart and I disconnected PSU from motherboard, and even then the wattmeter was showing constant 30W . So either the psu is having problems, or wattmeter function somewhat isnt compatible with my PSU and it shows incorrect values...
