I find myself in a strange position and was wondering if I could get some advice. I wanted the Witcher 3 for a while and it comes out tomorrow but my computer is starting to show its age. I saw that theres a deal where I can get the new gtx 970 Nvidia card and I'll get the witcher 3 and the new batman game for free but the card itself is pricey. I can afford it but I don't know if its worth the investment if the rest of my computer isn't gonna be able to handle the games I want to play. I was mostly wondering if my CPU is good enough not to bottleneck and pretty much make buying the GPU a waste of money. Also, what kind of performance increase will i get compared to my current card?

My specs are: CPU- I5 3570k 3.4ghz
GPU- EVGA gtx 660ti FTW 2
RAM- 8GB DDR3
HDD- 1tb Seagate
PSU- 620Watt seasonic bronze certified

Also to save a little money I thought of maybe selling my current card after getting the new one. Is that common or even possible? Will I have trouble finding a buyer?

The reason I decided on this card is that it comes with the Witcher 3 and batman for free. Otherwise I would just buy The Witcher 3. What makes you think that I'll only be able to play on medium with that card? I can play things like Metro Last Light and GTA 5 on medium-high with the card I have now.

Only 10fps? That doesn't seem like its worth $350 + tax and shipping. I thought I would get a 30fps increase or something.

It makes a noticeable difference, but anyway another option can be save and wait for the GTX 980Ti and by the time that comes out all (Mid August-ish) That will be the time when all the popular games will be released.

That would be nice but on my budget I'd have to be insane to spend $600 on a graphics card
