Pc shuts down when playing games

I built my rig about a year ago but lately i have been running into some issues. When ever i play a more demanding game my pc shuts off only after a few minutes of game play. This had happened to me about a month ago and to fix it i unplugged the 24 pin cable and plugged it back in. That seemed to work for about 2 months or so. I tried it again but it didn't fix the problem. I have the corsair hx850. Can i fix this or do i have to get a new psu? Thank you in advance.

Gygabyte motheboard
Cpu: Amd Fx8350
Gpu: Nvidia Geforce GTX 770
Cooler: Corsair H80i
250 gb SSD, 1 tb HDD
Case: Cooler Master Storm Trooper

I think the temps are fine but ill check it out.

And make sure when you play games run it in windowed and run some sort of temperature measuring software to make sure your CPU or GPU doesn't overheat. If it does, you'll need new cooling for either one depending on which one is overheating.

Tested it again with a temp monitor and they looked good. Both the cpu and gpu had temps were between 30 and no more than 50. But it still crashed after only 2 min of gameplay

Im going to try undusting every thing and ill try again.

could also be a power issue, gpu-z will show you is it is on your gpu if you let it make logs. Are the supplementary cables to the card seated correctly too?

i used hw monitor before. I tried running it with a new power cable but it didn't work. After it turned off i felt all the parts to see if they were hot. The graphics card was pretty hot at the top. If it turns out it is overheating then is there a such thing as a gpu cooler?

I ran the software you linked and read the logs (i would upload them but i dont know how to). Anyways the gpu temps are in the 30s and then right before the pc shuts off they shoot up to the high 60s. So is that the problem?

There should be a section for power and performance viewer. If your power draw is spiking at the same time and the perfcap viewer lists pwr. Then that's your trouble and it would be worth running afterburner and boosting voltage and power limit to see if that makes it stable, although you shouldn't have this trouble with a card at stock. If it's got any warranty left rma that sucker.

League is really easy to run. You probably just don't have enough energy to support your graphics card. Like, your PSU is fine. Try resetting your CMOS.

The strange thing is it was fine till one day i was playing gta (for like 3 hours) and it turned off and its been happening ever since. The gpu temps are around 60 Celsius before it turns off and the card feels really hot when u touch it. And before i could turn it back on i have to flip the power supply switch on and off. Ill try resetting the cmos.

No luck resetting the cmos. I launched CS GO and played it for about a minute and thirty seconds and it shut off as if someone pulled the plug.

That perf cap listing of 4 is saying your voltage is unstable. Which would indicate either a bad fit to the motherboard (sure you checked its in right?) or a bad PSU. What are you using for power supply?
