PC rebooting randomly while gaming

my custom made pc keeps randomly rebooting with a loud buzzing sound in the speakers while playing games. This has been happening since i installed witcher 3 today. on high settings it would happen all the time (overheating?) so i lowered it to low and all that happens is it freezes sometimes. I decided to play cs:go (which has never had an issue on my new harddrive) and now its doing the same thing as the witcher 3 on high! help!

monitor your temps of your cpu and gpu. Try re-seat your gpu and ram in their slots. Update your driver, or roll it back to an older version if you have recently updated it.

it was doing it before the most recent update and im doing a pressure test on my gpu with msi kombuster and im getting 76c with no crash so far. ill run the witcher 3 and see what i get. ill reseat the ram and gpu tomorrow. EDIT: just tested the witcher before it crashed and only got 67 degrees C within 6 min of gameplay

stress tested my cpu and ran a ram disgnostic with no errors or crashes ... posssibly my power supply going bad?

You need to replace it with a proper unit. Antec, XFX, seasonic. This could be the issue.

That's probably the case but it only started doing it after i installed my new sshd. does an sshd use more wattage or is it just a coincidence?

It barely uses anything. Like 5w or less. A negligible amount.

Yeah, get that thing replaced with a proper unit before it damages the PC.

Antec, XFX, Seasonic are the brands you want.

Yeah it should be fine. Plenty of amps. The reason it isn't awesome is because it isn;t made with the highest quality parts, but it is leaps and bounds better than what you have now.
