I know there are multiple threads regarding the psu requirement of an r9 290, however I'm asking very specifically to my exact build and weather or not it would be able to hold up in longevity.

i5 4690 (non k) processor
stock intel cpu cooling fan
4 120mm case fans
1 200mm case fan
1 1tb hard drive
usb mouse/usb keyboard
at any given moment I have an external usb hard drive plugged in as well
and a cx 600 corsair psu

I know a lot of people think poorly of this psu, but it's what I have and unfortunately it's not within my budget at the moment to upgrade at the moment.

Given the aforementioned specs, would I be able to fit an r9 290 into that configuration without issue? I do not plan on doing any overclocking.

Solution
Less than 100W for your CPU, less than 300W for the R9 290, less than 50W for the rest => less than 450W peak power draw. The CX600 isn't great, but it can handle that load.
