Hello Pro Custom System Builder ;-)

I would like to build a silent as possible system, as a Plex(https://plex.tv/) Multimedia Server. So i go to my favorite local IT Store(http://igitec.ch/) and search for parts, i believed could be good.

There are some big prices differences between, specially with the RAM. Anyway, i don't want to get greater then 1000 CHF, that's equal to about 1100$.

My actual request is, if somebody has any better experience, improvements or found any problems with my build.

With greetings

Letum

PS: I'm from Switzerland, so English isn't my native language. The change is big that you will found a couple of mistakes.

Solution
Could make this plenty quieter with an air cooler. The pumps on water coolers tend to be loud and whiny when there is no other sound to hide it. In addition to that, why do you need an i5 for such a simple task? A low power i3 would do the same job.

Greetings,

I chose components, that run in semi-passive mode [psu], not sure about be quiet!, whether it supports it, and also Corsair h60 is nosiy like hell, if You want silence, go for Noctua, also gave You two CPU options, with low TDP:

I didn't quite understand your problem with the RAM. Is the one you listed the only one you can get? Because that is mighty expensive, I got a whole 8GB set for the same price.

Okay, sry your answer confused me, because i didn't really understand it. You see, my English isn't perfect ;-)

How ever, thank you for your time.
It's a bit sad i won't get all parts of you, so I've the mix them or find a good replace.

SirChnobli - You stated [wrote] that You want silent rig [computer]. So I chose power supply unit, that runs in semi-passive [half-passive] mode, that means, when certain load/temperature isn't met, it won't start using fan for active cooling. Which is rendering the power supply unit totally silent [0 dba]. That's all :)

Also, I chose You a setup with Core i5 Processor, which is a lot stronger, and runs only on 35W TDP [thermal design power], which is great for Noctua cooler, which also the other guy picked, because with lower temps, it will run on lower RPM [rotates per minute], therefore it will be even more silent.

If You don't understand something, feel free to ask :)
