ive done some research and this card consumes about 300W of power (I wont be overclocking or pushing it hard). Using the PSU calculator guide, 300/12= 25A +20A (for other parts of the comp) = 45A. With the PSU having a 50A 12V rail there is only a difference of 5A, does this mean that my PSU will be constantly stressed when gaming?

that's the same numbers i got too, so theoretically you'd be running close to the limit of the psu.

there's a few things to consider also:
-how old is the psu?
-during gaming you won't use as much power as the max, you'd be looking at about 60-70% of that, the max power draws are computed with furmark which takes the gpu at the max.
