OK guys, CPUs...

So, I'm on a pretty little budget, so I come to you. I have around $25 - $30 that I'm prepared to spend. My socket type is FM2. I currently have AMD A6-6400k APU :(

Ok, so I would like some good suggestions on what I should buy; also some CPU's around $60 if I change my mind. My GPU is a nvidia gtx 750ti so I dont know if I will be bottlenecked with my price range...

Thanks guys

You're going to need to save up a lot more money in order to get a better performing system than what you already have. You'll either need to purchase an A8 or A10 series AMD APU or if your motherboard supports it one of the new Athlon series processors. Either way, you're probably not going to see a great improvement in performance.

Otherwise, you'll need to upgrade both your motherboard and CPU to an Intel platform which depending on where you got your current computer from, may require a new OS as well. Going this route, you'd need to spend closer to $150 to match your current performance and closer to $250 to significantly improve upon what you already have.

The A6-6400k is currently... About $60, there is no point in buying anything. Save up for at least an A10-series chip that's compatible with your current motherboard. Anything less isn't really worth buying.

he said he only has fm2 compatible motherboard and not fm2+ :D

also he does not have a dedicated gpu so he would need the gpu power from the APU which the 860k does not have.

He said he has a GTX750ti.

The Athlon 750k or 760k are your best bets.

$25-50 and honestly anything less than $70ish will NOT get you a viable upgrade from your A6 unless you find something used. My best advice is to save up more money.

did not see the edit - then if he only has fm2 mobo and not fm2+ he should get the 750k or 760k.
may we ask the exact model of your mobo OP?
