Hi,

Yesterday I did a factory reset of windows which was installed on my SSD, the reset reached 68% before I received an error message telling me that the reset could not complete. I proceeded to switch off the PC and switch it back on however, I could no longer access windows.

I then inserted the Windows 7 Professional x64 DVD and attempted to boot to it and format the SSD fully, but when I tried to click 'next' the installer locked up. After another reboot the DVD will not even get beyond the 'starting windows' screen to the installer. I also had another hard drive with a full windows installation however, this too would not reach beyond the logo. After removing the SSD, both the installer and the HDD work fine.

I have tried a different sata port but same story.

Has anyone got any ideas to what might of happened? The SSD is an OCZ vector 150 120gb.

Thank you.

You might have to do a format on another computer with windows installed.
Or if you have another hard drive install windows on it. Then re-format the ssd through cmd prompt i believe though their are other ways it'll take a long while. Then re install it onto the ssd. Unless the drive has bad sectors in which case its a bum drive. Another thing ssd's are entirely dependent on the build quality. It would seem your drive is under rma or if it does have a bad sector/chip.
