I am building a PC with an FX 8350, a Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X 3GB, 1 HDD and 1 Optical Drive. I looked at the wattage of the R9 280x Vapor-X and it said that it was 750 watts!!!! I used an online wattage calculator (http://www.coolermaster.outervision.com/) and it said that the wattage is about 550 watts, so what is going on??

Well, each OEM card is different. The manufacturer usually determines what's best for their own card. If you install or use a PSU that is lower than what is recommended and you run into problems... they WILL refuse to help you until you meet that requirement.

I looked at the website on Newegg for that particular card and here is what it says:

System Requirements

PCI Express based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard.

4096MBMinimum of system memory.

750 Watt Power Supply is required.

1000WattPower Supply is recommended for CrossFireX System.

2x150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connector is required.
4x150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connector is required for CrossFireX system.

I 100% agree with this except the the model of the power supply spend the money and get the G2 series.

OK thanks for the link, I was thinking of water cooling my CPU as there isn't much room in my case for fans and heatsinks. Which water cooling kit is best for the 8350 if I do NOT overclock it at all?
