looking for LGA775 Mobo replacement uk

My mobo has failed unfortunately after 10 years since building. Started with PSU going faulty -(unexpected shutdowns, insufficient power to mobo ports), then usb over-current error screen even though only gpu display ports and ps2 kb/mouse were plugged in.

Can anyone suggest a good LGA775 motherboard identical/similar to the p5ld2-vm? http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5LD2VM/

I still does quite a good job at gaming too :)

Yes i have seen used q6600's in £30 range but new still in £80 range. Want a cheap 'New' Motherboard to start with and preferably 'new' cpu if i were to upgrade, which for an extra £80 on top of a new motherboard likely to be £100-140... would rather ditch the tower

Finding cheap used parts are very easy but new is what i am after
Is it really worth spending on used parts that may supposedly be a decade old and near death?

Note that no gaming purpose is needed here at all, just mainly MS Office and photo/data storage

You just can't tell when a CPU is going to die, ive never seen it though. Especially for just daily usage i would still recommend the Q6600, its performance is excellent for tasks like that.
