Upgrading from Phenom II X4 95 BE. Should I wait for better sales?

hey fellas. so i ordered a 4690K and a GA-Z97-HD3 for about $300, upgrading from a Phenom II X4 955 BE. I have a 280X currently. was this a worthy upgrade at this time considering all I want to play is Witcher 3 and MGSV in the future? or should I just cancel this in anticipation for better sales.

I think you'll be happy with the change. I run a 965BE as a secondary machine beside my 3570k and in so many cases the 965BE is just holding the secondary machine back. It's a fine CPU for the money you pay for it, but it's not really a performance part.

My 965BE is running with a 7850 at 1080p and the 3570k is running with a 670 at 1920x1200.
