Hi!
Recently I edited some pictures on photoshop from my SD card and I accidentally saved one as a .png file directly onto the SD card which then forced me to format my SD card. After that I used a recovery program called EaseUS Data Recovery to get my pictures back. It worked except that I can't view the photos. I have them saved as .jpg but this notification pops up every time.
"Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer"
I didn't continue using the SD card so it couldn't have been overwritten.
