Hi all, first ever post on forum and looking for a bit of help.

I've recently been out and bought an Asus GTX750Ti Oc 2GD5, hooked it up in pc and fired it up. pc recognises it and started to install driver software for it, after which it requires the system to restart. After it shuts down and reboots, it loads up to the starting windows screen but then just goes black.

A restart and safe mode boot will show the card is recognised in device manager and has the lastest firmware installed but it will not for the life of me load past the starting windows screen.

System specs are as follows:

ASRock M3A-UCC Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 B50 Processor
850W Artic Blue+ PSU
8Gb Ram (Just 1 stick)
250Gb HDD

Seems to be a common thing with Nvidia drivers and black screens from posts i've read upto now, and just wondering its the setup i have, ie - Motherboard not supporting GPU.

Any help is appreciated.

Mal.

I can't say for sure if your bios version is the issue but aside from that...

Did you properly remove whatever video drivers you had previously?

Have you tried a fresh install of windows and then a fresh install of drivers?

Can you try the GPU in a different rig?

Like you said, v1.4 is the latest bios revision.

I would be surprised if a bios released in 2011 does not support your GPU, could be wrong but that is my gut feeling.

Bit of an update. Installed the newest driver for the card that was released yesterday and that allowed the pc to boot up with the new graphics card.

It did black screen after id gone out the room to sort something out and when I came back 2 minutes later it had gone off again and would start back up and load past starting windows screen.

So I know that it does work on the rig I've got setup now, just can't figure what's causing the random crashes and startup failures.
