Is "Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7"`s audio technology appropriate for high grade headphones?

I am currently using a Sennheiser 598 with the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7 and I`m happy with the audio quality. After finding out that the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 7`s amp supports up to 600 ohm I thought I`ll purchase better headphones.

Here is Gigabytes information regarding GA-Z97X-GAMING 7`s audio quality

Will my mobo be good enough to power high-end headphones like the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 OHM.

I couldn't see anything about an amplifier for 600ohm headphones.

I think a nice DAC+AMP would give you better audio quality with those headphones.

Meh.

You would get good audio quality but you could do better.

If that DT990 can be considered high-end then yes definitely. I good dac+amp will cost you some money aswell though.
