Looking to upgrade to another rig, need suggestions!

So i have been gaming on an MSI GT683 gaming laptop since i believe a bit after may of 2011, so its been awhile. I love it and because of it i think i love MSI considering its just now not being able to meet the reqs for newer games, like the witcher 3.

But in short i have around 1500 to spend, laptop or desktop, little more little less doesnt matter.
I dont have the confidence in myself to feel like ill find the best option, so any suggestions are welcome.

I say keep the laptop and then buy a new desktop, that way you have the best of both worlds. I would do something like this for the desktop:

I actually found a really nice laptop i would love for you to check out, its reviews are incredible and its only con anyone mentions is its lack luster appearance. But it comes with a crazy bundle of witcher 3, a gaming mouse and mouse pad, retail box, which is a 120$ value.

That has some pretty nice specs, but if I were paying that much for a laptop I would get an MSI GS60 without even thinking about it, but the thing you have to keep in mind with pricey laptops is that they depreciate in value extremely quickly and don't perform nearly as well as their desktop counterparts.
