I just got all the parts to my computer and I was almost done putting everything together and when I tried to connect the power supply pins into the CPU 8-pin receiver and the 24-pin motherboard receiver some of the pins don't match up. There are 2 kinds of pins one being square and the other having one round edge. Now some of these do match up, although some also do not match up on both the 8-pin CPU power supply and the 24-pin power supply. So since of these pins do match and some do not should I just force the power supply connectors into each or what?

NO.

It's designed that way so you can't make a mistake. It maybe snug but round should to into round and square should go into square. You must be using the wrong plugs, doing something wrong. The power plugs are, as mentioned, designed to be fool-proof.

Do you have a full 24-pin plug or is it ready a "20+4?" Please inspect carefully.
