With my HP Envy Phoenix 810-150se, the bios doesn't allow me to change the timings of my memory. The option simply isn't there...I will never buy another prebuilt PC in my life. Anyway. can I replace my current memory which has 11 - 11 - 11 - 28 with memory that is 8 - 8 - 8 - 24? Will the memory adjust to the slower speed or will this definitely cause problems?

Might want to check with HP, 8 is a tight CL for any prebuilt. HP may have a list of compatible DRAM available, but would guess it will use loose timings
