Losing 5GHZ Wireless Connection on laptop

I have a Belkin dual-band Router that from time to time just stop broadcasting the 5GHZ. I would be connected to it for one second and the next while in the middle of gaming the connection would drop and disappear for days before coming back out of no where. The 2.4GHZ still works fine, but I really need the 5GHZ while gaming.

things I try as a solution:

  • -Checked my router setting to make sure the "Broadcast SSID" was accidentally unchecked.

-made sure my router firmware is up to date

-made sure my network adapter driver is up to date

-Restarted my router and modem multiple times

    -"restored to factory default"

One way I can get my 5GHZ for a few minutes is by changing the wireless channel. Then I can reconnect to it and for a few minute everything would work just fine, but as always it disappears again minutes later.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been at this issue for a very long time now. I've done a lot of googling around but couldn't find anything useful. Just sick of spending my days off from working try to fix this issue week after week.

I have it set to channel 40, but it seems to does it to all the channels. I do find channel 40 to be the best (strongest signal and fastest speed for me).

sadly, I don't have any other device that can connect to the GHz frequency to test.
Also No, I can't use ethernet.
