I'm in the process of building my own gaming PC on a budget of around £500 and at the moment at the stage of picking out the parts.

After doing some research I created a PCPartsPicker list that I think meets my needs - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hRYnqs

* Some parts I did choose mostly for aesthetics and personal preference reasons, like the NZXT Case.
* I already have the graphics card in my possession, so that part want be changed at the moment.

At the moment I do have some questions that I need help with and would like some advice:

- I'm not sure whether if i should some some extra on the 80+ Bronze edition of the EVGA supply , would make any sort of difference to the performance?

- Would the Gigabyte GA 970 UD3P board be good enough to OC the FX 6300 to possibly 4.4GHz or more?

- Also would it be better if I save some money and get CPU cooler like the Hyper 212?
- Would the Corsair water cooler provide better cooling that would be worth the price difference?

Thank you for any advice!!!

I would get this combo instead. You get a decent i5 cpu and a much better gpu.

Skip the SSD and get a better GPU in their. SSD has no benefit for gaming and his budget isn't a lot to allow for luxuries right now.

Getting a HDD only save around £10. There isn't much to improve on the gpu with £10.

He only needs less then 120gig for his entire computer?

+1; This is a great build for 500 quids that will handle most things that you throw at it!

That still isn't a lot of storage. After the advertising gig calculation and the fact that ssd runs best under 85% of capacity, he doesn't have a ton left over for pictures, movies, documents, and games.
