Nervous for my first build; in need of advice ($850 Budget)

So I'm putting together my first ever build, PcPartPicker claims there are no compatibility issues but I'm wondering if there is anything that's too overkill/ upgrade-needing. My Budget is around 800 but I'm willing to go to 850 if needed. I primarily plan to use this for gaming, mild "After Effects" and "Photoshop" use, and school purposes.

The reason no OS is listed is because a friend has a copy for me to use, and I already have a mouse, 1080p 60Hz Monitor, and Keyboard so they aren't part of the budget

There is no plans to overclock this

Lets get to the good stuff:

==================Concerns/ Questions=====================

1. What I am most worried about is if this build may generate too much heat, should I invest in some cooling?

2. I am going to assemble my build according to this video, does the information seem reliable? If not are there any other, more reliable videos?

3. Also pertaining to the previous point, are all cases in that similar format as seen in the video? Or do cases vary greatly?

Any help is greatly appreciated, I've never build a computer before so I'm pretty nervous that I'm gonna wake up with my MoBo in my dishwasher.

Many thanks in advance!

Eh, that's a micro-ATX board. Probably not going to harm anything, but not what I'd choose. I'd go with this full size ATX board that's the same tier as the Pro4 but cheaper.

The motherboard tier list is here, just for your information. Each family, H97, Z97, etc., has it's own linked page for reference of different models:

Add two of these and it will be fine. One will be an additional front intake, one will be a top exhaust. Your case comes with one front intake and one rear exhaust, which is probably a little weak for the configuration. Adding those two fans will improve things sufficiently. I'd ditch the PSU as well. That's a low end unit, not satisfactory for use with a high end gaming card.

Many thanks!

I was going to suggest an H97 board because if you don't need SLI and won't be overclocking, they're usually cheaper than Z97 and you can get a higher quality board for less money, but with the promo on that board, if it's still valid, that's a pretty good price so it doesn't matter in this case. Except that the PCPartpicker price is wrong. I went to the site and the board is actually 79.99 and that's after mail in rebate. Here's what that build looks like without rebates, except the sheisty one from Superbiiz which shows as a Promo but is actually a MIR.

It's still a pretty good price though and if you don't mind the hassle of going through the crap for the rebate it's all good.
