downgrading from windows 8.1 on Surface RT

So I wanna do some things with my surface RT but those things I wanna do are only available on the 8.0 version of windows RT. I've tried a couple of methods to downgrade from 8.1 to 8, but none have worked so far, any suggestions?

So i got the recovery image but from there things get tricky. I followed micrsofts instructions but things aren't working. First off they say to extract the files you download but to put a compressed version ( the .zip you originally get ) on your USB. Then they say to use it as a recovery drive now when i do that and get to the screen boot from a device or disk and click USB nothing happens and I'm back to square one but then say open advanced settings and do something else but that stuff never comes up. At a lost here...

Nope ill give it a shot and get back to you on this, but do you think I could perform this without a USB or no ( just for the sake of time)
