hp f2105 no sound from speakers

I recently started using this monitor, when I go to play back devices the is speakers and headphones which are disabled and, digital audio (s/pdif) which is enabled. none of these are the monitor speakers, so how to I get the speakers to work?

For the monitor speakers to work you have to connect a suitable stereo audio cable from the "speaker" or "line-out" jack at the back of your PC to the "audio line-in" jack at the back of the monitor.
