Hi Guys,

I've been playing The Witcher 3 for the past few days, and my card gets to about 77 degrees and my fan speed hits 38%.

Is this about right? I was informed that it's a lot slower than it should be.

I have the auto fan control enabled through MSI Afterburner incase you're wondering

Solution
I have a similar GPU (EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0) and use EVGA Precision X to manage my GPU fan profiles. I set the power level and target temp to 80% and 70°C, respectively, and set my GPU fan curve to max at 50% @ 70°C. I do this to keep my GPU temps and noise levels down.

Its at 100%, Its the hottest its been whilst playing Witcher 3. Other games like GTA and Dying Light get to about 69 or 70 degrees.

Witcher 3 only uses 1500mb of VRAM though which is 2 GB shorter than the capacity, GTA used 3200mb.

Thats actually the one i've got, i forgot the ACX part of the model name.

What kind of performance do you get from them profiles?

I got EVGA Precision through steam, put the profile to 80% and 70 degrees accordingly and I see not performance impact (60FPS fully maxed) on Witcher 3.

I'd rather sacrifice some minor folliage distance for the longevity of my GPU, thanks man!
