intend to upgrade my CPU,mobo and GPU,

i7 4790K
GTX 970
Asus Maximus vii Ranger
Noctua NH-D15

Is it advisable to use back the follwing:-

4x4GB DDR3 Mhz 1333
Cooler Master CM 690ii chasis
550W Silverstone Silent PSU

The computer shop is telling me to change all.

Solution

Nope, replacing the CPU doesn't require to change anything as long as the new CPU is for the same socket.

Your current CPU uses the LGA1155 socket, you only need to find another CPU with the same socket (easy job) and problem solved (if the problem was the CPU).

Why... newer processors are coming in 2016. Both Intel and AMD. wait a while and upgrade when its worth it.
Also why are they telling you to change it all? unless its destroyed the parts are very good.

Well they told me since you are changing most of the parts its better to change the ram, chasis and psu as well.
they are trying to get me to buy

2x8GB ripjaw 2133MHZ ram
750Watts Seasonic Gold Rating PSU
Enthoo Luxe Chasis

but i feel that it is a waste of money. i dont really agree but if it is a must to change then will pay for it.

Why do you want to upgrade your hardware? You actually have a good hardware.

Is something you do not performing well?

CPU giving alot of problems, MOBO sometimes dont detect the GPU, sometimes ram not detected. but after i restart t PC a couple of times its fine. Latest problem is after i shut down the window. the processor fan stil moves. Need to hold the power button to shut the PC down. I doubt it can last till next year.
