I just ordered these components but noticed a disclaimer in the ASrock site about ECC mem only supported when paired with Xeon processors

MoBo: Asrock Fatal1ty X99X Killer

CPU: Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0GHz LGA 2011-v3

MEMORY: Crucial 64GB Kit (16GBx4) DDR4 2133 (PC4-2133) DR x4 ECC Registered 288-Pin Server Memory CT4K16G4RFD4213 / CT4C16G4RFD4213

Am I headed for trouble?

Absolutely compatible with the motherboard - http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/fatal1ty-x99x-killer/CT6203946

But not with i7-5960X processor. Intel has clearly mentioned about this processor not supporting ECC memory in its specifications.

Crucial website too has not listed this processor on its compatibility list.

You can check it yourself, by using the "Will it work with my system?" option here - http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct4k16g4rfd4213

What memory would you guys recommend with the Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E processor?

Maybe I'll just swap the memory instead of keeping the memory and swapping the CPU

I might just downgrade to 32GB and use these, what do you think? and add on in the future the board supports upt to 128GB mem

G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM 2133 (PC4-17000) Desktop Memory Model F4-2133C15Q-32GRB
