Intel® core i3-330m processor vs 1.4GHz AMD A6 quad core

I know the i3 has more GHz and Multi-threading....but I was wondering if the AMD Quad Core could out perform this Pentium chip in a laptop. Thanks

So to clarify:

  1. I'm assuming the AMD chip is the A6-3400M.

On single or double threaded task, it will be a close call as the A6 can auto-overclock to 2.3 depending on temperatures and core usage.

Graphically, the A6 has a better gpu, ATI HD6520G.

As both chips are not for gamers, your down to a general office work horse, I would go A6, as the vast amount time, the laptop will not be doing a lot and you might get away with a little light gaming, plus I beleive the A6 is a little cheaper, so use the savings to add more ram or a SSD.
