I have Creative SOUND BLASTER X-FI HD external sound card, that is connected to my laptop through UBS port. I'm using RCA cables to connect it to my receiver, that is powering speakers.
I just built myself new gaming PC, that has ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO MB, and it has "Optical S/PDIF out port", so i was wondering if i can connect my PC to that sound card as well?
I'm confused, because on MB port is called "Optical S/PDIF out port", but on sound card port is "Optical In: TOSLINK". I have no idea if they are compatible, so would appreciate any help in that matter.
