It is a powerful workstation, but not really a gaming rig in my book.
- For gaming current i5 cpu's perform very well, the small difference with an i7 does not justify the price difference.
- For gaming 8gb of ram is more than enough.
- A GTX 960 is an entry/mid level GPU, nowhere near being a high-end GPU for gaming.
- A $1000 pc with the right components will outperform this pc in gaming with ease.

here's an overkill build for less than the 2k... can remove the dual video cards and go with a gtx 970 or something else if preferred...

PC's are rather simple to build anymore, actually helps you appreciate them more and know how to fix them when you do it yourself... there are a ton of great resources to help where teh documentation fails.

I'm tossing together a simpler build that would be akin to what boothcer said above:

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at that PC. It was like watching the old Home Shopping Network when some grandmother would buy a PC for her grandson.

Gramma "Oh I'm so glad you have this for sale. It's my grand son's birthday. He'll be so happy when he opens this present. He loves to play the video games."

Salesman "The on board discreet graphics will be perfect for video games. And at $2000, or 10 installments of $225, you can't beat the price to performance. It even has a CD drive, so he can play discs like an encyclopedia."

Gramma "I didn't even think of that. He can do his homework on this!!!"

That system is overpriced for what it is, and it's mis-configured for a gaming PC.
