So i bought an ASUS for my design and gaming purposes, here's my settings:

windows 8.1 64bit
Intel core i7-4170hq 2,50ghz (3,5 turbo)
16gb ram ddr3
nvidia gtx850m

This happens with most games, like assassins creed and tomb raider 2013,
i installed recent drivers and i'm not running the integrated intel card, but i can't seem to get more than 40fps in assassin creed and tomb raider, and mostly 30fps in shadow of mordor even at low and off settings in the games,

I hope you respond i gave 1500 euros for this pc and i want to be able to have at least a decent gaming experience,

cheers!

Well the thing is...laptops simply don't run games very well, even if they are marketed as 'gaming' laptops.

I had an expensive 'gaming' laptop like you (like 1400 USD) and it was simply a piece of crap. I couldn't even play League of Legends with more than 30-40 FPS at low settings (ROFL, had FPS drops in team fights too). I hated it. Always overheated, would sometimes randomely turn off assumedly because it was too hot.

So I'm really sorry to say it but those FPS numbers sound about right. If you want a REAL gaming experience you need a desktop, unfortunately.

Well that's good to hear it stays pretty cool, that means at least it's not overheating so you're not losing frames that way.

Honestly I don't know why you would get stable 60fps for Dark Souls 2 but not Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed, that's pretty strange.

Hopefully it's just those few games that give you some FPS problems..

yeah thats the real question, i can run it at constant 60fps at 1080p with all maxed out, but when i play the ACC it stays in the 40s, and i wont talk about the unity version... 12fps its ridiculous,
but thank you for responding!
