if i have 4 gb ram and i use an apu, does it meanthat when i use for example 1 gb in graphics, there will be only remaining 3

Solution
You can always try it with 4gb of ram and see. If it's not enough, pick up another 4gb stick. Using an apu you're already at a disadvantage compared to a dedicated graphics card. Having only 4gb of ram can also be a slight disadvantage. If you want to go cheap and compound the problems further by reducing your system ram, sharing some with your apu on top of the apu's limitations that's up to you. I just wouldn't count on enjoyable results. Mixing ram size and speeds/timings may either not work at all if they're incompatible with one another or if they do work, drag down the speed of the limited amount of ram you already have.

If all you care about is price, get the cheapest you can and however it plays it plays whether it's 30fps...
Yes, both amd apu's and intel cpu's with igpu's rely on system memory for the integrated graphics. They don't have vram like a dedicated graphics card so they have to borrow from the system memory. If you allotted 1gb of 4gb ram to the gpu, the rest of your system would be left with 3gb. Dual channel ram kits are cheap enough, I would just get a 2x4gb ram kit. Then you have 8gb of ram to work with allowing you to use 2-3gb for the apu leaving you with 5-6gb for the rest of the system rather than fussing with a 4gb and 2gb stick and trying to get them to work together.

If you have an AMD you want to used two matched ram sticks. It is especially important if you use a cpu with an igpu. You want the ram to run in dual channel mode. Four gigabytes of ram is really skimpy especially if you only have three available for your system and any open apps.

Guys you were very helpful... To be more specific, I want to use an AMD A8 7650K (which has r7 igpu) and Kingston hyper savage (1x4gb) 2133mhz. Isn't this enough for just simple gaming on a not FHD screen?? I'm not a hardcore gamer... I'm searching for the cheap solution to play e.g. CoD MW on 1280x1024 at around 30 fps. Nothing more... I just care about the price...

You can dedicate 2 gigs to the igpu on some FM2+ boards.
