Need Help Deciding CPU & GPU

Hello,
I've decided to wait a while to build my PC. I choose all the necessary parts I wanted. The CPU I picked was a i7-4790k. The GPU I picked was a GeForce GTX 980. I heard about the Intel 6th Generation Processors and also the New Geforce GTX 980 Ti. My question is since I'm waiting till around December to build my PC, should I stick with my previous CPU/GPU go for the i7-6700k (Skylake) and the GeForce GTX 980 Ti. I don't really have to worry about price of either CPU/GPU. Thank you for any help

Between now and December, too much may have changed to make any suggestion today relevant. You might want to ask when you are a week or two from building.

as said above (upvoted).... too much time will be passing, wait until you're within a few weeks to make the final call.

Yes, save your money up and ask in mid to late November. There will be new GPU and CPU options. Very likely there will be a lot of good sales around that time too.

Thanks, Yeah I was close to building it in this month but by December my budget should be solid enough to get the latest high quality items on the market.

well, if you have not built your machine yet, the gtx 980 ti and all its glory is here and its awesome, personally i don't know much about Intel but i have the 980 ti with a amd fx 9590, and its running butter smooth, my mate has a 980 ti with and amd fx 8350 so i would prefer in my opinion ( I ALSO HAVE AN INTEL LAPTOP SO DON'T HATE)
P.S. these are just my thought, maybe they could come in useful
