Yeah, you're absolutely fine there. A fairly low power CPU and high quality 750W PSU. With that rig at stock clocks you'd actually be fine with a quality 550W PSU... so 750 is plenty. Have fun.
That should be plenty.

Which 750W PSU specifically?

AND, what's the rest of your rig?

A good quality 750W should handle a 290X even with a heavily OC'd FX or Intel 6/8 core CPU.

If you've got a more standard CPU, then any half decent 750W PSU should be up to the job.

The psu is XFX P1-750X-XXB9 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 , was high quality in 2013 when i bought it. I have the cooler master rig, 2 ram sticks, and a non OC i7-4770, along with the 7950. I'm not interested in cross firing.

Will the 290x be a good fit in my rig?
