I Also Think That That Computer Is A Ripoff,But That Gpu And CPU Should Be Able To Get Close To Maxing Out Minecraft.
If You Happen To Stumble Across Something Else You Like More Just Remember That AMD Has Very Good Multicore Performance And Intel Is Known For Their Single Core Performance,So Therefore,If This Rig Is Mainly For Minecraft,Go With A Intel CPU Like A Intel Core I3/I5 And If That's Not Affordable Then Go With A Pentium.(No Fanboyism Whatsoever.I Think Both Companies Have Their Advantages.) Hope I Helped!

For true future proofing for a couple years, he should pick up a copy of windows 7/8, because windows will give the full version of windows 10 for free if you own either copy mentioned (once windows 10 is fully released. it is just a preview for now.) Heck oddly enough they are giving legit versions of 10 to pirated versions of windows 7/8.

For him only getting the windows 10 preview is a solution that will last 6 months. Then he will need a real OS.

Yes, but when you are on a budget, the $90 you put towards the OS is much better suited for being put towards the hardware. It's a whole lot easier to buy an OS, rather than buy some different hardware.
