I use my WD backup on my laptop at home, with Smartware. When I take the drive to another computer, attempting to access the backup files, they are locked with a lock icon, says you do not have permission to access.
This happens on both of my WD drives (My Passport and My Book).
To access, I go to my Passport drive>WD SmartWare.swstor>PC Name> Volume name>Users>Username> and here would be a list of all my backed up folders.
I can still use it as a drive without Smartware, simply dragging and dropping to the root of the drive, but I need to access my backed up files. Any help is greatly appreciated!
