I recently upgraded my psu from a 420w to a 750w, and my gpu from an Amd Radeon HD 5670, to a Sapphire Radeon R9 270. Now, the games that used to run fine on my old hardware are making my computer shutdown at times. Help?

did you check if all cables are connected and everything is inserted in properly
check if the cable to your graphics card is plugged in

Yes, everything is connected, plugged in and inserted properly.
CX750 is semi ok PSU but not great.......should handle 270 without problem.
Did you wipe out your old AMD drivers?? I mean not just uninstall.....uninstall and wipe registry? If you didn't then you need to uninstall your current drivers, download and install driver sweeper http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweepe... AMD then analize and clean. It will reboot and then install fresh AMD drivers
Amd and NVidia is sensitive to drivers left overs from previous hardware in registry. That can cause lots of headaches. Been there...done that.
