go into the network and sharing center. then navigate to manage wireless networks, then delete your wireless connection to the room wifi.
next go to the device manager, locate your wireless network card and uninstall it. (when windows prompts you, don't delete the driver)
now reboot your pc, connect your laptop physically to the router and let windows install the wireless network card again
now disconnect your laptop form the router, and reconnect to your room's wireless, see if the issue goes away.
If it does not i would run a virus scan with malwarebytes, and see if you're infected with anything, otherwise it could be a physical problem with your wifi antenna (which is easy to discover, do you get solid connection when you're next to the router?), or maybe your router is limiting the number of people who can log in wireless. not sure past this point, but it might be worth rebooting the router.
