I am wandering if i can run dayz on my laptop. i've used the can I run it programme and everything is fine except my Vram as it says i need a minimum of 512mb but I have 128mb.
I have seen a post before that said dont mind the vram setting as there laptop kept failing on that but everything runs fine. Just wandering if I should waste my money or not?

I don't understand why people continue to entertain the notion that hardware requirements don't apply to them... you're not "special" and if you have 128MB vram then I wonder how poor everything else is. I mean no offence, but with the hardware you've got, if you start loading a server now, you just might be able to get into a game by Sunday, when its busiest... sorry but that's just how it is.

And what would you waste your money on? You can't just upgrade a laptop... maybe RAM, maybe hard drive, but that's all, and this certainly won't make the game run faster.

Its time you start to save money and build yourself a micro-ATX pc. We got your back, and we can help you come through cheap and strong, it doesn't take much for dayz to max out.

I assumed this would be the case I was just wandering as I saw somebody claim that they could run it on those settings. I would rather ask than buy and download the game for it not to work.

I did a system requirements scan and everything else is good enough to run the only thing that falls below the mark is the vram. (quite substantially below the mark). But after seeing that somebody else is appaently running it on with the same specs as mine a guy can dream right?

Well if that's the case, why don't you try it anyway? Your dream will cost you 27.99€ and a probabily of epileptic seisures that games have been known to cause if your system can't stomach at least 10fps.

Oh, and, uh, in case you're wondering, that money is already 10% of what you need to build yourself a system that would wipe the floor with dayz.

That's how I got what I've got "under the hood" right now. 20 buck NOT spent here, 35 bucks NOT spent there and it quickly amounted for 1&1/2 salaries' worth of pc more than a year ago! ;)
