Can I mount my PSU with the fan upside down?

I'm going to be using the Cooler Master Enforcer case, and there are ventilation holes at the bottom, but I was wondering if I should mount it upside down.

If it has ventilation on the bottom, mount the PSU with the fan facing those holes. Suck in cool air from outside, blow it out the back.

Assuming of course, you're not putting this on a carpeted floor.

If you have carpet, set it on a board, piece of hard plastic, etc. Other than that, mounting it with the fan down toward the vent in the case is best, if no vent, then pointing it up is fine.

My son has the case and he uses a thin piece of fiberboard.

I am on a carpet, so put a piece of cardboard under the case?

Any stiff non-conductive material will be fine, it's just to keep the bottom of the case from sinking into the carpet and blocking air flow.
