So, my BT Home Hub 5 gets a connection speed of ~34Mbps after having fibre optic installed yesterday. This is great, and in the middle of what was estimated. My computer, however, only recieves 14 - 16Mbps which is half. It is connected via powerline and is about 15M away with a fair amount of walls.
When plugged into the router I get around 30Mb so what I don't understand is why my connection is halved by powerline. I have it plugged in fine. It is TP Link 500Mbps so it's more than enough.
What is even more strange is how, on the first day, I was getting 30Mbps with powerline but it went down to 20, now 15 even though the router has stayed the same. It's just my computer or powerline.
Thanks.
