SSD Does Not Have Native TRIM Support, Alternative Solution?

Dear Forum,

This is my SSD. After noticing some poor performance when running multiple programs simultaneously, some research has yielded that the drive more-likely-than-not lack TRIM support. Even after enabling TRIM support in command line form, I doubt it's running.

The programs I'm referring to are the Steam back-up service, 7-zip and Chrome. Backing up a Steam title brings my system to a near halt, and it becomes incredibly difficult to even browse the internet in a timely fashion.

I understand WIndows 7 includes TRIM support by default, but Toshiba hasn't updated the firmware for this drive (trust me, I've looked) and likely doesn't support TRIM natively. Is there an alternate solution to TRIM for my SSD, or any precautions I can take to prevent my ssd from completely breaking?

Respectfully,
Ajwork
