Built custom pc. Having internet connection issues

I built a new computer for my self (first time). And now it constantly disconnects from the internet non stop. All of my drivers are up to date and I've tried all of the solutions i could find on the internet and none have worked. I am beginning to believe it may be a hardware issue but i have no idea. My old computer never had this problem with the same wireless adapter. I have even tried plugging it into different usb ports and still getting constant disconnections. It happens more often when i try to play any video game that requires online but still dc's quite often while just browsing the internet. If anyone can give me any other solutions it would be greatly appreciated
