Hi,
I am upgrading my PC. I already have R9 280X. Adding AMD FX8350 & a 990FX Mobo.

I need to know if Coolermaster GX550 is enough for it to run smoothly. I never overclock & looking for following configuration

- AMD FX8350
- MSI R9 280x
- asrock 990fx extreme 3 / Asus M5A99 FX pro
- 8 GB Ripjaw

Please suggest upgrades including CPU Cooler to be used.

Budget is not an Issue but I do not overclock ever so looking for a good one which will be more than enough for my use.

I play heavy games but always keep the graphic level at medium to avoid any pressure on CPU or GPU.

Also planning to get dell S2240L

What are your thoughts on it.

The Cooler Master GX Series is a little Low Tier, I might go with a more reliable PSU if you are planning on gaming, at least a Corsair CX series if your budget allows it. Preferably 600W, and the best CPU cooler for the buck right now is the Hyper 212 Evo.

cooler master 212 evo is a budget cpu cooler and is used by many as its top notch for the price you pay, i wouldnt suggest getting that monitor as it has 7ms response time and isnt as good as a few cheaper ones i have seen, check this monitor out if you're from the uk, its cheaper and the response time is better http://www.scan.co.uk/products/215-benq-gl2250hm-black-led-monitor-hdmi-dvi-vga-1920x1080-250cd-m-10m1-2ms-vesa

its out of stock on that site but look for on others, look on amazon and ccl aswell as scan.

This Monitor Option is really good & available in India at lesser than the one I was looking for so thnx alot. Also thnx for confirming Cooler option as even I was looking for the same.

You sure that my power source is enough right ....cause its little confusing as whether I should change or not.

The MOBO is still a doubt as I am confused which one to go as so many options with 990FX.

Sorry I was talking about reliable MOBO
Thinking about MSI 990FXA-GD65 as its cost effective & has same brand as my GPU MSI R9 280x

yeah that motherboard looks nice and supports sli and crossfire in case you ever want another gpu, similar colour scheme to my z87-g55.

ive been thinking about the power supply and i think it would be a good idea if you get a 650watt, 550watts would do but just to be safe.

Also looking for best 120mm Fans which are cheaper yet good.
How are your views on Deepcool UF120. Review seems good.
My Case is Coolermaster Elite 431Plus.
Looking for 3 fans mostly

not really a bright spark on fans mate, i have the corsair sp120 quite edition fans and they do me fine, dont go spending loads on fans, the difference is minimal.

they do look nice and the airflow rate is very good, infact almost twice as much as mine, mine do 37 cfm they do 66cfm so must be pretty good.

Done everything. Checked out with three engineers around. Seems like RMA is the only option.
