I got a Noctua cooler during the winter holiday, (for my CPU). I installed it (note: my system RAM is slightly in the way so I had to move the metal grill thing just above them. Meaning it is not working at its full potential). The temperatures back then were around 28-35 degrees celsius (using MSI afterburner) while at peak (100%) the temperature never went over 44 degrees celsius (from what I saw). However now these past few weeks I noticed the temperature stayed around 38-46 degrees celsius and peak of 50 or so. Is this an issue with the thermal compound, if not could you suggest other theories to possibly fix this.

note: My thermal paste is NT-H1, applied in an X shape on the CPU. AND I HAVE NOT OVERCLOCKED YET.

Solution
The thermal compound shouldn't need replacing so soon.
Maybe the difference is due to the higher ambient temperature in your room since summer is getting close.
Make sure there's no dust in any of your fans disturbing the airflow.

28.5 is baaaaaaad..... would not recommend for haswell. even stock with a 212 evo it peaked 90

I'm not saying that one should run it for days, but running it for 15 minutes to make sure the CPU doesn't throttle is fine. Peaking at 90°C is fine as it stays below the throttle temperature.
