Its been a long time since i last used my pc and i had to replace both my screen and keyboard, i also vacuum cleaned my graphics card and the cooler fans because they were packed with dirt. Now i have updated everything on my pc and still, everytime i launch a game it has incredibly low perforcmance and about 3fps for about 10 secs before my entire pc just crashes and i get a black screen. Then it restarts and everything is as usual...why? Help pls

Solution
I had a similar issue recently wherein after doing something inside my PC case, all of a sudden, all games kept on lagging and seemed like it was going to crash. I checked inside my PC and found that there was a wire preventing the CPU fan from spinning, and so my CPU temp just kept on rising. My procie just kept on throttling that's why I had the performance hit. Maybe you can check your CPU and GPU temps?

EDIT: Maybe check if you accidentally unplugged your CPU fan too? Make sure that your GPU fans are running as well.

I only managed to partially remove dust from all the components exept for underneath my graphics card. I only vacuum cleaned the fan of it but there are still tons of dust undearneath. one of my friends who are a computer expert say that its no problem tho.

Hopefully nothing was damaged by static. In the future, a can of pressurized gas is much safer than a vacuum cleaner for removing dust.
Please provide your full system specs though, including the brand and model (not just wattage) of the PSU. This could be an overheating problem, or a power problem.

I dont really know my full specs but my computer model is a HP Pavilion HPE H8-1145sc, just google H8-h1145sc and my computer should pop up along with all its components. Also im super worried about this "static" damage your talking about since i was vacuum cleaning the entire motherboard and everything...but i tried not to make contact althou i kept touching the cables in the pc

Also i dont think its a static damage since the components actually WORK (i can launch the games and stay in the menu, but as soon as it gets eaven a little bit in need performance like when i start the game my pc goes apeshit)

I have updated my geforce and so im trying to update everything else (still have 12 updates that im trying to update via the "search for updates" program on the pc. It takes horribly long time and when i tried to download all 12 at the same time it is stuck at 0% so im trying to download the most important one first then the others later. But checking on the "least important" list i can find a geforce update

If everything works, then it was probably not zapped by static.
From the specs I found, your video card is a HD6670 and you've got a 300W PSU. Both are weak by modern standards.
Released in 2011, capacitor aging may have reduced your PSU's ability to below what is needed for a gaming load, causing your crashes. Your CPU, an i5-2400, is still competent, and your 8GB of RAM is sufficient.
You may need a new PSU and a graphics card upgrade to play modern games.

Edit: The HD6670 is an AMD card, not nVidia, so it would not use GeForce drivers. If you do have a nVidia card in your PC, please tell us which one. I saw a similar model of HP that had a GTX550Ti in it. That card is a little stronger, but still weak by modern standards, and it needs more power, which also could explain the crashing.

That's what I'm trying to tell you that you don't want the latest GeForce update it is known to cause issues with older cards. You have the 550ti it's pretty old

i know my graphics card is a gtx 550 ti since i took it out, and my pc CAN handle the games i tested (before they crashed) wich are Carrier Command (a really old game) and CS:GO both which crashed around 10 secs after entering the actual game (not main menu). The weirdest part worth mentioning is that before
my screen/keyboard quit working (around 2 months ago) everything worked perfektly. I could run csgo at max settings with no issues at all and carrier command didnt eaven make my pc break a sweat.

But something DEFENETIVELY worth mentioning that could possibly have damaged my pc is the fact that during the time i had no pc i had to turn it on to test it before / after cleaning it and trying different methods with my screen. Since i had no screen i had no idea what was going on in the pc and i randomly had to guess wich time it was "safe" to turn it off by holding the power button. i usually waited around 5-10 mins to make sure it wont damage anything but i can possibly have done it :l

The "new" updates damage cant be real since 2 months ago when screen worked i could play everything and i didnt eaven update the card now that i have a new screen before playing csgo. I only did it after expecting that would fix it

And i know the card is very weak, thus the reason i only play older / less demanding games

And also, thank you so much for helping me out

I just tested running csgo again after updating and it managed to survive on the lowest settings. But then i upped it to medium and it crashed again. Currently waiting for the screen to come back up but its completely black, i eaven heard the windows startup sound. Is it possible that i have destroyed my graphics card completely?

My graphics card fan was blocked by some cable that had been blocking it from spinning, i fixed it and now i can run CS:GO max settings with no problems.
Cant belive such a simple thing made such a big difference..i feel so stupid now. Does the fan really bear such a HUGE importance to the cards performance??

And again, thanks to you all for helping me
