Been asking around - Can a GTX 970 from NVDIA fit in my Dell XPS Studio 9100 case?

My AMD Radeon 6670 card is 5.9" x 4.38" - the GTX 970 card I want is 1.7 inches x 10.6 inches x 5.6 inches. I think I need to measure the case to be sure, though. I really really want this card and because the case is open (due to Dell's being unable to understand how to get good airflow in the case) it might fit, right?

Any experts here?

As a fellow Jared, I can tell you it will. I work with one in the past and the cleareance is about 11.4 inches long. You shouldnt have any issues jamming a 10 inch card in there.
An EVGA GTX 970 SC is only 9.5" long and should fit in the case. You should upgrade the PSU while you're at it. Dell's pre-installed PSU will not be enough to handle a GTX 970. An XFX TS 550w PSU should work. BTW, is the motherboard using a legacy BIOS? If so, then I cannot guarantee that a GTX 970 will work on it since I've read horror stories on how users of pre-2012 off-the-shelf PCs cannot boot with GTX 700-series GPUs installed.

Well, judging by the picture it's gonna be tight but it just might fit. An ATX board is 9.6 inches. It looks like you just might have another inch there to play with. It's gonna be close for yea or nay. Hopefully no wire interfere.
