Slow Computer Performance (Possibly caused by RAM?)

Hello all,

I'm posting here because I'm quite unsure of what my problem is although I have an inkling of what it could be.

Anyway, my computer which once ran pretty smoothly has started acting up after I adjusted the RAM on my computer.

Here is all the relevant information:
Computer : HP Pavilion Elite HPE 410F

RAM: GSKILL 2 x 4GB (Total 8 GB)

Video Card: GeForce GT 730 1GB 64-Bit

Known Problems:
2 RAM slots on my motherboard are bad right now (1 & 3). I've memtested this quite a bit before posting here. Those 2 troublesome slots cause BSODs and random freeze-up errors. So, I was running on 4 gigs of RAM before in slots 2 & 4 and noticed a slower performance. I chalked it up to the RAM and then bought the G-Skill to replace them so I could be running at 8 Gigs.

Anyway, even at 8 Gigs, I am noticed a super slow performance no different than when I was running at 4. Even scrolling through webpages are laggy and video games take forever to load (Namely World of Warcraft which I was once able to run on Ultra with no lag now runs choppy on high settings (same machine)).

So what could be causing this slow performance? Could me using only slots 2 & 4 on the motherboard really cause this much of an issue with performance?

It would be great if anyone could give me some feedback or ideas. Thanks

Okay, so I just ran a fresh reboot on my computer of Windows. Its working smoothly and how its supposed to now. I think before I was running on random RAM swaps and just general messing around with drivers that I was doing to fix another problem earlier this week. Anyways, I think its solved now but I'll update if it slows down again!
