GTX970 strix Very high idle temp

So I get home today, turn on my pc and let it do its thing for about 20 min. I come back and checked my temps as I always do and noticed that my GPU temp was at 60c. HOT DAMN. GPU wasnt being used at all. Last night my temp was at 35c at idle and barely got above 56c in games. What the frick frack is going on here?

Mystery. 60 is not hot under load. On idle it is too hot.

"Check your usage percentage. It may be there is some program running in the background. I recently had this problem, and it was a virus that caused my GPU to run at 99% at the desktop. Download GPU TEMP: http://www.gputemp.com/

Report back with your percentage of use, if its over 10% with no programs running in the background I would be concerned.

Another thing to check out on is did you recently install a new GPU driver? It may have had some sort of glitch. If your usage is high, I would suggest COMPLETELY uninstalling GFE and the drivers. "

the utilization is at 2%. no joke. checked with gpu tweak. basically everything about the card is wehere it should be at idle but the temp. even opened the side panel and i could feel the heat radiating from the card.

i think everything its normal i have my hold gtx285 since 2009 with the idle temp at 74c when i'm on the desktop ;) , so i think we shouldnt be worry about the temps of the gtx 970 ;)
