I want to be playing on one 60Hz 4K monitor and I was wondering, 2 GTX 980s at factory speeds are 550, I might get ones which are on sale with different coolers, would they outperform 2 GTX 780Tis, being that 1 780Ti at factory speeds is now 369.99$ which is the same price for a 970 which 2 980s are about 1100$. Which would be better. I just want to play at about 40fps to 60fps and Ill be beginning on just air, but I will be watercooling the Gpus and the 5820K CPU later on. Any other suggestions would be great. Otherwise for the same price I could do a 780Ti 3 way SLI but the 3rd card gives like a 20% boost and I know that the 780Tis use up more power, are less future proof as they only have 3GB VRAM vs 4GB and that they have different outputs. Any help would be appreciated.
Otherwise I would be using my 4790K, getting a new motherboard and doing 3-Way SLI for GTX 780Tis. I was thinking of a brand new system but could just use a new mobo and GPUs.
